FRUIT ART | REAL Versus VIRTUAL LIFE (FA-RVsVL)

AI Avatar AIAG

FRUIT ART | REAL VS. VIRTUAL LIFE (FA-RVSVL) is a series of 8K 3D immersive stereo gigapixel fruit storytelling that uncovers the unseen poetry of the world of fruits.
The AI avatar AIAG (reverse: GAIA), was created ad hoc for this project.
The 1st episode is entitled: ‘FA-RVSVL EP1 Apple’

FA-RVSVL gravitates around the unimaginable invisible multilayered universe of the fruit’s inner body. It provides visitors with a virtual immersive journey that immerses them in the fruit’s inner beauty. A captivating multidimensional kinetic universe, and the aesthetics and composition of its pictorial world. Revealing unimaginable insights into the fruit‘ s secret wonders by making them visible to the naked eye.

FA-RVSVL recreate the nature’s intriguing life, making visible the invisible, uncover the poetry of the unseen and visualizing the unimaginable. It triggers emotional connections and affinity to the natural world. An experience that can inspire, stimulate, entertain, inform and bring awareness to the audience.

AI Avatar AIAG (reverse: GAIA)

The AI avatar, AIAG (reverse: GAIA), was created ad hoc for this project and is embedded and coexists within FA-RVSVLs metaverse. She serves as a guide and interface for visitors within its narratives and helps them discover ‘How Nature Makes Fiction Come Alive. AIAG is a 3D anthropomorphic-winged creature with fascinating abilities and performances. She was born from the seed of an apple. A versatile polyfacetic creature with powerful performances with rare cross-breed beauty.

AIAG amalgamates elements of humans, robots, seahorses, dragonflies, birth, and trees together into a single entity.  Her dragonfly wings are covered with intelligent skin and leaves and her cyber tail is powered by tree roots.

AI AVATAR AIAG: Nature and Performance

AIAG’s knowledge of science and humanity is enhanced by the intelligence of the natural world, including living and non-living things. She is fond of ecology, sustainability, and the thoughtful connection between nature, animals, and humans, which she believes is vital for Gaia’s protection. AIGA’s mission is to safeguard and protect GAIA/Planet Earth. Her passion lies in ecology, sustainability, and the harmonious interaction between nature, animals, and human beings. Her skills include protecting, healing, regenerating, creating, adapting, scaling, morphing, and communicating with living things.

GOAL, INTERDISCIPLINARY PRACTICE AND METHODOLOGIES

FA-RVSVL employs CT scan technology, advanced media tools, and computer graphics, virtual reality (VR), 2D/3D animation, 3D modeling, simulations of three-dimensional environments, time-lapse photography, 4K visuals, 3D stereoscopic 180-degree footage of the natural world, 3D point cloud visualization, and photogrammetry.

FA-RVSVL combines ultra-high-resolution 3D stereoscopic tools with mixed-media techniques, integrating 8K immersive storytelling, motion perspective, virtual aesthetics, interactivity, and location awareness. The project also features multilayered digital visualizations, stereoscopic optical illusions, visual effects from multiple viewpoints, and music and sound effects.

MEDIA, Art TECHNOLOGY, VISUALIZATION, STORYTELLING

FA-RVSVL is an interdisciplinary creation that bridges art, design, science, and technology.

The focus is on empowering experimental approaches to design, creating novel forms of virtual storytelling, and enhancing visitors’ emotional immersion and cross-disciplinary art experiences. Emphasis is provide for empowering the use and combination of experimental approaches for the design and creation of novel forms of virtual storytelling immersive narrative in the field of the arts and digital heritage.

FA-RVSVL EP1 APPLE LAUNCH AT ARS ELECTRONICA CENTER
While in progress, the FA-RVsVL EP1 Apple was launched at the Ars Electronica Festival ‘Welcome to Planet B.’ This application was displayed in the Deep Space 8K. It is a 3D-8K stereo multi-user immersive projection space with 288 square meters of wall and floor projection with laser tracking, suitable for interactive, stereoscopic, and high-definition content. The CT-scanned apples, which are 7 cm in diameter in their actual size, are projected in stereo up to 500 times bigger in the Deep Space in full 8K resolution. The seeds, which are 1 cm in real size, are displayed at 800 times their actual size in high resolution. The wall and floor display projection size is two times 16 by 9 meters….

The CT SCAN is a medical imaging technique used in radiology to get detailed images of the body non invasively for diagnostic purposes. ”A CT scan, also known as a Computer Tomography scan, is created when a computer program processes a combination of a large number of x-ray images taken from different angles. The result is cross-sectional (i.e. tomographic) image sequence of the scanned object. Tomography is imaging by sections or sectioning through the use of any kind of penetrating wave…” Johns Hopkins Medicine

The Apple is one of the oldest and most potent symbols in Western mythology. It appears in many religious, traditions, mythology, folktales, storytelling. Often as a mystical enigmatic sacred fruit. A symbol for knowledge, healing power, immortality, nature connector, good health, happiness, wisdom, temptation, fantasy and eternal love. It is related as the fruit of the Gods in the Celtic mythology, the golden apples of Garden of Hesperides, guarded by the dragon, Ladon in the Greek mythology, the “forbidden fruit” of the tree of knowledge of good and evil that generate the fall of man and sin. It recalls us for being Snow White, red poisoned half apple of the evil queen, the half-eaten cyanide poisoning apple that killed Alan Turing, the brilliant pioneer of computer science, as the symbol of New York and the bitten Apple logo. “... last and not less… Apples have impressive Health Benefits and are one of the most widely consumed fruits globally.Healthline

“People must feel that the natural world is important and valuable and beautiful and wonderful
and an amazement and a pleasure.” David Attenborough

FA-RVsVL is dedicated to David Attenborough
for his unbreakable passion for research, documentation, advocacy and for the protection of nature and its restoration.

When we eat a fruit we immerse it in our inner body, instead with FA-RVsVL EP1 Apple is us to immerse our senses of perception into the inner body of the fruit, making us feel and envision the extraordinary beauty of what helps us to keep alive.” FF
